Terms & Conditions — Employers

By ticking to accept these Terms during sign-up, or by otherwise creating an account or using VeriTradie (the "Platform", at veritradie.com.au) as an Employer, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Platform. VeriTradie is operated Australia-wide by VeriTradie (ABN 85 323 766 214) of 27 Carl St, Woolloongabba, Brisbane QLD 4102 ("VeriTradie", "we", "us", "our").

You must be at least 18 years old, and if you're signing up on behalf of a business, you confirm you're authorised to bind that business to these Terms. You confirm the information you provide — including your name, business details and ABN (if provided) — is accurate and current, and you'll keep it that way.

If you provide an ABN, we check it against the Australian Business Register (ABR), a public Australian Government database, to confirm the business is registered and its status. This lookup uses only the ABN number and returns publicly available registration information. A "verified" ABN status confirms registration on the ABR at the time of the check — it isn't a broader vetting of your business's legitimacy, financial standing, or compliance with any other law.

• What you pay for: posting jobs, and credit packs spent on posting, pinning/bumping and renewing job listings, and on searching for and revealing Seeker contact details.
• Payment processing: all payments are processed by Stripe. By making a payment you also agree to Stripe's own terms. We don't store your card details.
• Currency & pricing: prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and may change; the price shown at checkout applies to that purchase.
• Refunds: credit purchases and job-post fees are generally non-refundable once used, except where required by the Australian Consumer Law or at our discretion.

Spending credits to "reveal" a Seeker's profile lets you see their contact details and message them, where that Seeker has opted to be visible to Employers. A Seeker can turn off their visibility at any time, which cuts off your ongoing access to their profile, credentials and photos going forward — revealing a profile is not a permanent or transferable right, and credits spent on a reveal are not refunded if the Seeker later opts out.

You're solely responsible for the accuracy, legality and fairness of your job postings, including compliance with applicable employment, discrimination and workplace-safety law. We may remove or edit a listing that breaches these Terms or the law, without notice.

Seeker qualifications, tickets and licences may be verified through ABN/USI Registry lookups or automated card/licence OCR checks — all of these are automated, best-effort processes and may occasionally miss a discrepancy or fail to confirm a genuine document. A "Verified" badge on a Seeker's profile is not a guarantee of their qualifications, character, right to work, or fitness for a role, and you remain responsible for your own hiring diligence, including any right-to-work or licence checks required by law.

Messaging is available once a connection exists with a Seeker (for example, after a reveal, an application, or a reference-access request). Don't use messaging to harass, spam, or solicit users off-platform for unrelated purposes.

You may be asked to provide a reference for a Seeker via a private, tokenised link. You confirm the information you submit is true to the best of your knowledge. VeriTradie may moderate or remove a reference that appears fraudulent, defamatory, or otherwise inappropriate.

• Advertising & sponsored content: the Platform may display advertising or sponsored content from third parties, including sponsored training-provider listings and homepage promotions. We are not responsible for the products, services or claims of third-party advertisers, and displaying an advertisement isn't an endorsement by VeriTradie.
• Your information stays yours: we only ever share your details with an advertiser or promotion partner where you've explicitly opted in — never automatically, and never as a condition of using the Platform.

Content you provide (job listings, messages, references) must not be unlawful, misleading, defamatory, discriminatory, or infringe anyone else's rights.

You retain ownership of the content you provide, but grant VeriTradie a licence to host, display and use it as needed to operate the Platform. The VeriTradie name, logo and platform itself remain our property.

Our separate Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect and how we use, store and disclose it. By using the Platform you also agree to that Privacy Policy.

The Platform is provided "as is." We don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we don't guarantee you will find suitable candidates. Verification checks are best-effort only (clause 7).

To the maximum extent permitted by law, VeriTradie's total liability to you arising from these Terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms excludes any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

We may suspend or terminate your account for breach of these Terms, suspected fraud, or misuse of the verification or messaging features. You may close your account at any time by contacting us.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll post the updated version with a new date, and material changes will be flagged to active users. Continuing to use the Platform after changes take effect means you accept them.

VeriTradie operates Australia-wide and these Terms apply to your use of the Platform wherever your business is based in Australia. These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
