An apprenticeship falling through — an employer closing, downsizing, or the placement simply not working out — happens more often than people admit, and it's genuinely not the end of the road.

What actually happens to your training

In most cases, leaving one employer doesn't cancel your training contract itself or wipe out the competencies you've already gained. You can generally transfer to a new employer and continue, often keeping credit for what you've already completed.
